About

What is the Mualita Blog?

Mualita Blog is a creative space that I have designed to encourage women to discover their unique gifts and talents, cultivate self-love, to celebrate their individuality and basically to live their best lives. My aim is to create a community of support and sisterhood where like-minded positive people can connect, be inspired and uplift each other.

I will be sharing creative inspiration and inside tips and tricks that I have cultivated throughout my 13-year digital design career, in the form of how-to videos and design tutorials to help others who are interested in becoming digital content creators, bloggers or those who simply wish to explore their creativity.

My posts and tutorials will also be influenced by my personal love of style, travel, beauty and photography that developed during my professional dance and modelling career.

I truly hope you enjoy my content! It has been created with purpose, authenticity and integrity at it’s core. With a minimalist approach to design and life, my content will focus on quality and intention over quantity – no meaningless spam here!

Take a look around and feel free to leave any questions, requests or feedback through my contact form.

And because as sisters we are all about uplifting each other, stay connected through my social media channels and let’s be partners-in-shine! #teamlove

Love, light and blessings

MISSION

I support equality and inclusivity. Therefore, this space welcomes any human being, regardless of gender, race, religion or sexuality.

Mualita Blog is designed with the intention to promote holistic wellness, positivity and creative inspiration to women – particularly the women who are often underrepresented and who until recently, have been almost completely forgotten in the mainstream wellness space. This is the time to create change.

As a bi-racial woman of colour and as someone who falls into a number of minority categories, I, unfortunately, have experienced first-hand the effects of subtle and not-so-subtle discrimination, racism and sexism in every single industry I have worked in. As someone with friends and family who have experienced it even worse than myself, I realise how ridiculous it is that this is still happening. One of the causes I am passionate about is ensuring self-care and wellness resources are accessible to all marginalised people so that we can build each other up and seek the support we need. I believe firmly in celebrating diversity and encouraging all to love themselves in all the glorious shapes, skin tones and hair textures we have been blessed with. I urge you to realise that we don’t need to conform to a mould that mainstream media or society dictates for us, to know how beautiful we are. I feel that positive representation of women of colour and other marginalised people is crucial to fighting negative stereotypes and I wish to help minority women find relatable information and inspiration at no financial cost.  My content will naturally be shaped by my personal experiences, personal interests, the causes I support and my love of uplifting other women, so if you feel like this speaks to you or you see yourself as an ally of equality, this my friend is for you.
