Spring is my absolute favourite time of year. As the days start to get warmer, I find myself waking up with a happier disposition. There’s something symbolic about the newness that surrounds us in Spring, that leaves me feeling more hopeful, refreshed and just generally more positive. So here I gladly shed my layers of winter gloom and share three spring looks that I styled with curvy girls in mind.
If you’re a girl with curves, sis, I see you and I hear you. It’s not easy for us to find outfits that hug the right spots, and strategically skim over our least favourite areas.
For me, I like to play with flowy fabrics and shapes, then cinch in at the waist to create an hour glass shape. I had so much fun shooting this look with Sydney-based photographer, Lakhi at the Auburn Botanic Gardens. The gardens are absolutely stunning with brightly coloured peacocks strolling lazily among the blossoms and ferns. It was an extremely hot day and I’m surprised my makeup didn’t slide off my face! But the delicious shade offered by the overhanging canopy of vines and trees gave us some relief and the photos were worth it. I hope you enjoy and have fun putting together your own versions of fresh Spring outfits.

As the weather heats up, I love to wear white. It’s so crisp and fresh, and I like how it contrasts against my brown skin, especially as my skin tone naturally get darker in the warmer months.

Wedge heels worn throughout the shoot are from Kookai (last season).
Outfit 03.
Dress by Faithfull the Brand
Earrings from Pigeon Hole
Rattan bangle from Witchery
I love the cheerful green of this dress. It’s one of those pieces that gets compliments, any time I wear it, without fail. Y’know those days when you need to feel a little uplifted? This is the dress for those days. It’s comfortable and flowy and drapes over the hips and arms gracefully. As someone who typically lives in a daily uniform of tees and high-waisted pants, I keep this for the days I feel like embracing my femininity.
